Soda Feldspar
NaAlSi₃O₈
Sodium-rich feldspar (albite) supplied for fast-fire ceramic tiles, wall tiles, and glass batch applications.
Overview
Soda feldspar (albite) has a higher Na₂O content and lower melting temperature than potash feldspar, making it the preferred flux for fast-fire wall tile production and glass batches. Its earlier melt onset reduces firing energy requirements and improves surface quality in low-to-mid temperature ceramic firing cycles.
