Overview
Dead Burnt Magnesite (DBM) is produced by calcining natural magnesite at 1600–2000 °C, yielding a dense sintered periclase product with extremely low reactivity and high refractoriness. It is one of the most critical raw materials in the refractory industry, used in steel, cement, and non-ferrous furnace linings, valued for high MgO, high bulk density, and resistance to basic slag attack.
